The idea of a "Wagon Train" has been kicked around by Cowboys & Cowgirls in Western Canada for a number of years. A lot of folks thought it would be a great idea to line up a series of Cowboy Action Shooting matches over c0nsecutive weekends. We could get our tin and fiberglass covered wagons together in a train and roam from town to town to town, sharing our victuals, telling tall tales around the campfire and displaying our prowess with firearms.
A few years ago individual clubs began coöperating by scheduling their individual matches on following weekends. This year four Canadian CAS clubs have teamed up and put together five consecutive weekends with six two-day matches, including two SASS Canadian and one SASS Regional Championships.
